FAQ: LASH EXTENSIONS
WHAT ARE LASH EXTENSIONS?
The Lash Extensions used at Lavish Haus of Beauty are synthetic Mink, or Silk and are applied individually to the natural lash, with an medical grade adhesive, that is fume, latex and formaldehyde free.
HOW LONG WILL A SET OF EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?
When applied by one of our artists, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.
HOW LONG DOES THE LASH EXTENSION APPLICATION TAKE?
The application process for lash extensions normally takes about 120-180 minutes for a full set of lashes, we ask you to generally plan on 90-135 minutes for a fill as well. We like to remove any grown out lashes, clean them up, and make your lashes look like brand new every time you come in, this will ensure the retention and life of your extensions. You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed while relaxing ambient music is played in the background. During application, your lower lashes will be covered and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.

No! When applied properly, with perfect isolation and weight eyelash extensions will not harm your natural lashes. Our lash artist are all experienced and certified, the most important thing to us is the integrity of your natural lash. During your initial consultation we will evaluate your natural lashes to ensure you get the lashes that work best for your natural lashes so that you will never have damage or breakage!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHOOSE TO REMOVE MY LASH EXTENSIONS?

Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes.
FAQ: LASH LIFTS & LASH TINTING
WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?
A lash lift works with your natural lashes to create a luscious semi-permanent curl that will last between 6-8 weeks. We use a technique combining a lifting lotion and silicone rods to lift your natural lashes, making them look longer and fuller. We recommend lash lifts as a great alternative to eyelash extensions.

Prior to your treatment, please make sure your eyes are free of makeup, mascara, and false eyelashes. If you use Latisse or another lash serum, please stop product use for 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. Lastly, if you wear contact lenses please make sure they are removed prior to treatment.
LASH LIFT "DON'TS" IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS.
- Don’t get your eyelashes wet.
- Don’t apply mascara or eye makeup.
- Don’t sweat.
- Don’t go into a sauna.
- Don’t use oil-based products.
- Don’t rub your eyes.
WHY CAN'T I GET MY EYE LASHES WET AFTER A LASH LIFT?
It’s best to avoid any type of moisture to your lashes for at least 24 hours following your lash treatment. It’s best to avoid any type of moisture to your lashes for at least 24 hours following your lash treatment. This is because in the immediate hours after the lift, the lashes are returning to a normal PH level. Water, mascara, etc. can weigh down the lashes and compromise the lift that was set via the chemical change from your treatment. Think of it as being similar to getting your hair done at the salon. You wouldn’t want your hair to get rained on after leaving the salon as it would cause the hair to go flat - water would have similar effects to your newly lifted eyelashes.
HOW LONG DOES A LASH LIFT LAST?
A lash lift will last about 6-8 weeks (sometimes longer) depending on aftercare. Following the aftercare instructions given above for the first 24 hours after your treatment will help with longevity. In addition, we recommend brushing your lashes in an upright position anytime following a shower (or after getting your lashes wet) to help keep the shape of them.

Tinting is a process of applying a safe, semi-permanent vegetable dye to your eyelashes. This is done to make your dull lashes appear not only darker, but also longer and fuller.

FAQ: BROWS
WHAT IS BROW LAMINATION?
Eyebrow lamination is the latest beauty secret that will thicken and enhance your natural brows. Similar to the idea of a lash lift, brow lamination involves the application of a setting lotion that gives the brow hair a semi-permanent “brushed up” and lifted look. Whether you have thin, thick, or over plucked eyebrows, brow laminating is the perfect solution to give you the everyday look you want, without effort.
HOW SHOULD I PREP FOR BROW LAMINATION?
Prior to your brow lamination appointment, we recommend the following:
Avoid using exfoliants, retinoids, or AHAs on your face for one to two weeks before your brow lamination.
Avoid tweezing at least one week prior to your appointment (if you’re interested, we do offer the option to add on a brow wax to your lamination appointment).
Please come to your appointment without any makeup on your face!
BROW LAMINATION "DON'TS" IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS AFTER TREATMENT.
- Don’t get your eyebrows wet.(avoid the shower & bath)
- Don’t go into a sauna.
- Don’t use oil based products.
- Don’t apply heavy creams, makeup, or makeup remover to your brows.
- Don’t sleep directly on your brows (we know, easier said than done for our stomach sleepers).
WHY CAN'T I GET MY BROWS WET AFTER LAMINATION?
Similar to a lash lift, keeping your brows dry in the 24 hours following your lamination treatment is very important. During the lamination process, we use an assortment of creams as well as a permanent gel to relax and shape your brows. If you get your eyebrows wet too soon after we finish applying these products, your brows do not have a chance to set with their new shape.
HOW LONG DOES BROW LAMINATION LAST?
A brow lamination will last about 6 weeks (again, depending on aftercare). Be sure to follow the “Don’ts” mentioned above in the first 24 hours following your treatment for longevity. In the 48 hours following your treatment, you can apply a hydrating balm or a castor oil to your brows daily. We also recommend brushing your brows in an upright/styled position anytime following a shower (or after getting your brows wet) to help keep their new shape.
WHAT IS BROW TINT?
Eyebrow tinting is the process of applying semi-permanent dye to enhance, shape and define your brows. We use brow code which is richly pigmented brow tints and it gives the appearance of bold and full brows.
WHO IS AN IDEAL CLIENT FOR BROW TINTING?
Regular brow tinting is great for clients that have full brow hairs but looking for a darker and fresh look but still looking natural. As the tint only lasts on the skin for a few days it’s not recommended for people with sparse brows.
HOW LONG DOES BROW TINT LAST?
Brow Code Tint lasts up to 2-3 days on the skin and 3-4 weeks on the brow hairs.
IS BROW TINT SAFE FOR EXPECTING WOMEN AND THOSE WHO BREAST FEED?
Yes, our tint is safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
